Ordinary People’s product is a web platform that allows community members to crowdsource ideas, collaborate on charitable projects, fundraise for these projects, execute the project plans and celebrate the tangible impact made by these projects. The scope and causes supported by the projects are dictated by the community. There is a constant pipeline of projects cycled through on the platform as follows:

1. Crowdsource: source project ideas from the community, with approval and ranking processes in place. Community members can indicate support and intended project participation. Extensive use of social media allows for greater reach for ideas and support.

2. Collaborate: projects that garner enough support go into a collaborative planning phase. This is a transparent process (wiki) to gather background and data on the supported cause, develop a budget and execution plan, and lay out the measurable results of the project.

3. Fundraise: once a project plan is complete, fundraising is done virally through word of mouth and social media. This also presents an opportunity to raise awareness of the project cause. This can also be done in conjunction with a partner organization.

4. Execute: once the funds are raised for a project, the project plan is executed. Project status updates are published via the platform and social media outlets for the community to see.

5. Celebrate: completed project results are broadcasted to the community on the platform and social media outlets, with an emphasis on the tangible results achieved. Post-project updates also collected.
